Is my life on a crooked line?

Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

There is a quote that I came across recently by C.S Lewis that says, “A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line.”

I found that this resonated with me because for so long my life felt like a crooked line. I was unsure why because my life looked like everyone else’s, and they seemed content. After accepting the gift of faith, I know now that my line felt so crooked because I was longing for a life that was more like Jesus’s, not like the world’s.

For those who may not know their line is crooked I pray Ephesians 1:17 over them, that they may be given the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that they may know Him better.  As followers of Jesus, we can intercede in prayer for those in need and surround them with a community of people to walk with them in their journey of faith as they awaken to the good news of Jesus.

Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
