God Is With Us Always
James 4:8
"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded"
God is with us always!
As we are finishing up all those Christmas celebrations and looking forward to the New Year, it is easy to miss the enormity of what we celebrate at Christmas. Jesus, part of the Godhead took on human flesh and all that accompanies that (being hungry, tired, tempted, etc) to save us from sin. But that was only the beginning. Jesus did not just come to earth for 33 years and then leave us to be on our own. After he left he sent his Holy Spirit to be with us always, all we have to do is ask! So as we exit the Christmas season and enter a new year- bring the Holy Spirit and the spirit of Christmas with you. Let the joy and adoration you feel in December continue to fill you in January. As you you pursue God, he will meet you where you are!
Matthew 1:23 tell us: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). He is with us- always, not just at Christmas. Let that truth fill you with a hope and desire to bring Christ and Christmas into January!
