Bring Your Mess

Hebrews 4:16 ESV

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need

I was at a conference recently and the speaker implored us to bring all of our “mess” to God. She encouraged and urged us to not leave all of our hurts, disappointments, lack, pain, and unfair circumstances outside the door of the church but to bring it all in with us to the feet of Jesus. If we come through the doors tidy and put together and never bring our mess to Him, when we leave we pick it all back up and bring it home with us. If we desire true inner healing from God we need to be honest and vulnerable, bringing it all into the Father’s house. 

It is a scary and uncomfortable thought but the only path to freedom and healing is to lay it all bare. Our God is a good father and is trustworthy. His desire for you is to be healed and whole! Let us know how we at Awaken can pray for you.
