Do The Right Thing

Every day as Christians we are challenged by people and God to do what is right and righteous. My wife and I have had this saying for many years and that is, “Do the right thing.”

We have all been confronted daily with decisions on how to handle certain situations. It happens to me at work, at home, when I am shopping or just saying hello to our neighbors.

The book of Proverbs is one of the books in the Bible that teaches wisdom and moral conduct. Solomon, Son of David, King of Israel, gives many chapters and versus that you could put in the category of doing the right thing.

Here is one of them:

PROVERBS 3: 1-7

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your way submit to Him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.
