Love Is Paving Your Path

I recently moved back to my hometown after living in Nashville for 7+ years. When I left my tiny town in the Midwest, I left my whole life behind and started a new one once I got to Tennessee. Needless to say, aside from family, I moved back to nothing. No friends, no church home, no career or routine of any kind. I'm starting over in a place that looks familiar but feels completely foreign. I've questioned God a lot about why he brought me back here and have wondered if he really has a plan for me. 

1 John 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

In the book of 1 John, John says that God is love. Love is defined as an intense feeling of deep affection. If that's who God is, He IS love, then I don't need to wonder or question if he really has a plan for me. He loves me, and that means he only wants the best for me.

If you're walking through a season of waiting, you can take comfort in knowing that the One who can be defined as love is the one paving your path.
