Proverbs 28:13 NLT

People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.

Repentance is something we are all called to do. The word repent can often feel like a condemning word, but it's actually a freeing word! Like Proverbs says, sin is a bondage but confession and turning from your sin (repentance) leads to God's mercy.
